Postgraduate Programmes
MSc Architectural Facilities Management
Architectural Facilities Management is a masters degree jointly offered by the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University.
It is a unique opportunity to draw on the complementary strengths of two internationally recognised academic Institutions and gain a qualification that combines facilities management skills and expertise in contemporary architectural thinking.
This degree provides architects and designers with a deeper understanding of client and user requirements. It considers ‘buildings-in-use’ and how they contribute to organisational performance and individual wellbeing. The course seeks to promote a design philosophy in which the building design process is not a one-shot process, but an evolving, emergent solution, that continues well after completion. This in turn, informs the design process, through the participation of facilities managers and building users.
Please note that admissions are administered by Heriot-Watt University.
