This programme provides an opportunity for students to pursue practice-led research in the field of architectural design. It offers training in a range of contemporary design theories, and mediums, specialist methodologies relevant to research in architectural design and generic transferable skills. Candidates undertaking this programme will be equipped to make a creative, critically-aware and methodologically appropriate contribution to the field of architectural design and related fields. The programme provides research training (research design, representational media, design strategies, data collection and analysis) that enables creative and critical engagement with architectural design. It is designed to be flexible enough to be tailored to individuals’ needs, and to offer preparation to advanced level research.
