MArch - Master of Architecture
The programme is structured through an unfolding series of courses in which students, working individually and collectively, examine the particularity of urban sites– their histories, cultures, languages, industries, topography and politics – with a view to the design of a set of major architectural propositions.

Outline
The Master of Architecture (MArch) is a two-year, full-time programme. It is a graduate-level degree that leads to a professional qualification in architecture and exemption from the ARB/RIBA Part 2 examination. It is structured around a number of flexible curriculum pathways through a series of integrated or modular design studios. The overarching focus of the MArch is the relationship between architecture and urbanism. It is a challenging and dynamic programme in which students work closely with tutors and a prestigious array of international visiting critics in the formulation and development of integrated design propositions. Students who come to Edinburgh will find a supportive and stimulating environment in which to engage creatively and rigorously with the many facets of contemporary architectural practice.
