Admissions
Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot make either of the Visit Days advertised. Can I visit the School on another day?
Probably not. It is highly unlikey that there would be someone available to show you around outwith the dated advertised.
I would prefer not to apply online. Can you send me an application form in the post?
No. All applications for this programme must be submitted online through EUCLID.
Is there an application fee to pay?
No.
The instructions on EUCLID do not match the application instructions on this website. What should I do?
Please disregard the instructions on EUCLID re. the submission of a portfolio and references. This is general information which cannot be tailored to fit the admissions requirements of individual programmes.
My referees do not have an institutional email address. How can I send you my references?
Please ask them to print out the Reference Pro Forma, sign and stamp it with an instutional stamp before posting or emailing the form to the Admissions Secretary.
Should I send you a hardcopy portolio in addition to my portfolio on CD?
No. Hardcopy portfolios will not be passed on to the admissions panel. We only accept portfolios on CD.
Should I submit additional documentation in support of my application i.e. scholarship or prize certificates, passport information?
No. This will be discarded during the screening of your application.
I would prefer to mail you a copy of all my supporting documents. Can you upload these for me?
No. While we have the facilities to scan and upload documents, we process a very high number of applications and complete applications will take priority. Failing to upload your supporting documentation will significantly delay the processing of your application.
I am not due to take my English test until later in the year. Can I apply now?
Yes. If you have all your documentation ready, you should apply now. If your application is successful, an offer of admission can be made on the condition that you submit satisfactory English scores at a later date.
When are you intending to interview prospective students?
There are no longer any interviews for admission to this programme.
When I expect to know the outcome of my application?
Complete applications will be reviewed on 17 December 2009, 26 February 2010, 30 April 2010 and 7 June 2010. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within three working days of these dates.
If offered a place on the programme, can I defer?
No. Given the highly competitive nature of the programme, it is not possible to defer an offer of admission.
