Profile
I coordinate the BA(Hons) / MSc in Landscape Architecture and teach design studio, theory and professional practice on accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I jointly designed and established the MFA in Art Space and Nature with the School of Drawing and Painting six years ago. This programme has an international, interdisciplinary and site based ethos and attracts a rich diversity of students and visiting artists.
Current research interests and emergent outputs include translations between architectural and ecological language, student centred studio practice and perceptions of place in the Scottish Gaelic landscape. Previous published work examined forestry design and planning, landform and place in the Scottish Highlands, best practice in sustainable landscape architecture and the influence of modern art upon Geoffrey Jellicoe
