The public lecture programmes of ESALA are generated by the faculty and the students through three resources:

The Simpson Professorship - the primary academic award offered by the University to a distinguished academic or practitioner in the fields of: architectural design, cultural theory, architectural history and theory and philosophy.

The EUSAS Lecture programme, the Edinburgh University Student Architecture Society, an elected body of senior students who initiate a weekly lecture series by local, national and international practitioners.

The ARCHIE lecture programme, the eca student architecture society. EUSAS and ARCHIE also jointly deliver lectures.
